CM Punk Undergoes Successful Surgery

CM Punk won the AEW World Title at Double or Nothing, but that reign was hampered in a big way when he went out of action with an injury. Now he is on his road to recovery.

During AEW Dynamite this week, they revealed that CM Punk underwent successful leg surgery. The exact nature of the surgery was not revealed, but they did say it was his “lower leg.” They wished him the best and hoped that their champ will return soon.

CM Punk’s exact recovery time is unknown. We have to imagine that he won’t be out of action for a terribly long amount of time, because they are letting him keep the AEW World Title and crowning an interim champion instead.
