Sasha Banks and Naomi have become the center of attention since walking out on WWE as RAW went on air. The WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions reportedly had several issues with WWE’s creative team over how they were to be booked going forward. This called for WWE to change up the planned main event.

On the latest Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez revealed that WWE had to book the segment between Becky Lynch and Adam Pearce on the fly after learning about Sasha Banks and Naomi’s walkout.

“They shot a very quick angle where Becky explains that she saw Sasha and Naomi put their belts on the desk and walk out and, therefore, there can’t be a six-pack challenge, and she wants to just be named the number one contender.

“And Adam Pearce ends up ruling, ‘Well, it’s gonna be you and Asuka one on one and the winner gets Bianca Belair.’ I don’t know this one hundred percent but the impression I’ve been given is that neither of them actually had an idea what was going on and they were just told, ‘Go there and do this, quick.'”

Alvarez mentioned that WWE ended up pulling out Doudrop and Nikki ASH as well and replaced the six-pack with Asuka versus Becky Lynch in the main event. The reason for this was simply because it was easier to book a match with less time if you only had two people to deal with. We’ll have to wait and see what’s next for Sasha and Naomi, but we can’t wait to bring it to you right here at Ringside News.
