Welcome to Ringside News’ live results, highlights, winners and reactions for the May 16th, 2022 episode of WWE RAW. Start time for tonight’s show is 8:00 PM EST. Match-by-match highlights and results from the show will take place on this very page, so you should update frequently to get the latest happenings. Feel free to leave any reactions in the comment section below.

Tonight’s RAW will be headlined by a mammoth steel cage match between Bobby Lashley and Omos. These two have been butting heads like two enormous rams since before WrestleMania, and tonignt it all comes to a head… unless they need a roof, in which case we’ll see it again at Hell In A Cell. Speaking of which, it seems dead certain that Cody Rhodes will challenge Rollins to a Cell match after being attacked last week. Can Rhodes beat Rollins three times in a row?

Unfortunately, WWE hasn’t announced anything besides the cage match for tonight’s RAW. That said, we expect more from RK-Bro Vs. The Bloodline, as well as Bianca Belair, Ezekiel, Becky Lynch, Kevin Owens, Asuka, Judgement Day, AJ Styles, Theory, Finn Balor, and hopefully Alexa Bliss as a staple of the show again. Hell In A Cell is less than a month away and we should start to see the card take shape.

That’s the preview for tonight’s RAW. Our live coverage will begin from 8PM right here. Let us know if you’re excited about any of it and remember to hit the refresh link below and enjoy the show!

Monday Night RAW

This week’s show opens with a look at the dissolution of Bobby Lashley and MVP’s partnership, and MVP siding with his new client, Omos. We go live to the arena and a steel cage surrounds the ring – this huge match is happening right now!

The announcers tell us Cody will be on the show later tonight to respond to Seth Rollins’ attack last week. We will also see Riddle Vs. Jimmy Uso, and a 6-Pack Challenge match to determine the new number one contender to Bianca Belair.

MVP and Omos make their way to the ring. MVP welcomes us to the show and says we’re about see destruction. He says Bobby Lashley got a little too big for his boots and claimed the spotlight for himself. MVP says the outcome of this match is a foregone conclusion because Omos can pin him, submit him, or leave his lifeless body and walk out the door. No matter how it happens, the All Mighty Era comes to a close tonight.

Theory says something doesn’t feel right. He’s Mr. McMahon’s protege. He’s the youngest U.S Champion in history. He says it doesn’t seem very fair for Ali to get beat, then get a shot against him. Becky Lynch is backstage pestering Adam Pearce. She says it isn’t fair that they’ve announced the 6-pack challenge when she hasn’t got a rematch after she lost the title. Priest says they don’t take orders and if any of the fans heroes want to step to them they’ll face punishment. Ripley says she embraced judgement and she has loved every second of it. Nothing his holding her back anymore. Now is the time for eradication.

Edge says people should listen to his saints because they don’t lie. He says some of the fans are tired of pretending and he sees it in people’s faces. They need to stop being sheep and join his movement. Grab the lightning, accept the gift, or continue to live a purgatory of existence. He says he’s already seen how this plays out, more will join. In fact, his arms are open wide to anyone who wants to further their career.

And that offer even extends to AJ Styles. He would be a great addition to the movement. Edge understands that AJ is trying to please the fans, he used to jump off ladders and do the same. But where did it get him? A bunch of broken bones, an early retirement, and the fans moved on and didn’t care. Styles should consider joining the group, Balor too, otherwise they will face judgement.

*Commercial Break*

We see a highlight package of Cody Rhodes Vs. Seth Rollins at Backlash, then Seth’s vicious assault on Rhodes on last week’s RAW. After the break we will hear from the one and only Cody.

*Commercial Break*

Cody Rhodes comes to the ring and the fans chant his name. He says he’s been told Seth Rollins isn’t here tonight and, although he’s surrounded by lovers in Virginia, he hopes Seth is watching. Last week he tried to move on from this chapter but Rollins poured gasoline on it. Rollins said Cody would never take anything from him ever again, but he has no idea what he supposedly took? Two wins? A spotlight?

If anything, the threat to Seth Rollins is not Cody but Seth himself. He’s stuck in purgatory and Hellbent on dragging everyone down with him. In 2012 Seth Rollins showed-up in WWE with The Shield. He remembers because he was there and one of the bitter boys in the back. Within months, Rollins shattered the glass ceiling and won his way to the top. His story is different. He didn’t win. He scratched, clawed and painted his face with a smile, dead inside and looking up at the lights.

Yet he endured. In loss you learn to adapt and reinvent yourself. He learned he’s never going to be the American Dream, so why not embrace the nightmare? In some way he lost his way to the top. But this all comes down to Seth Rollins’ losing two matches. This is his second chance in life, you don’t take it for granted. And if Seth is intent on denying him that chance, he’s going to have to kill him. And he’s going to give him that chance. How about they run it back, lock all their angst in the ring? Rollins Vs. Rhodes III but this time it’s inside Hell In A Cell.

Rollins appears on the screen, laughing like an idiot. He says Cody stole his spotlight at WrestleMania but that wasn’t enough for him. He cheated to win at Backlash and that wasn’t enough. Now he’s begging for a third go around, inside Hell In A Cell? That’s the biggest mistake he’s ever made because anyone who’s ever stepped inside the Cell with him is changed forever. We already know his answer and he’s going to exploit all of Cody’s insecurities and expose him for the fraud he is. Cody says “well there’s nothing left to say except: I’ll see you in Hell”.

Asuka is interviewed backstage about facing Becky Lynch tonight. She pretends to cry and says Becky Lynch cries like a big time baby, but tonight she will give her a reason to cry. Because Asuka is ready to be RAW Women’s Champion, and Becky Lynch is not ready for Asuka. The commentators reiterate that Naomi and Sasha Banks walked out earleir today and call them “unprofessional”. Seems there is something legitamate happening here.

*Commercial Break*

Winner: Ezekiel

R-Truth and Tamina are backstage and Truth is still trying to serve Akira Tozawa with divorce papers. Tamina questions Truth’s methods as he opens a trash can and tosses the paper inside. A few seconds later Tozawa pops-up screaming and chases Tamina. Dana Brooke appears and thanks Truth for getting her divorce from Reginald. Truth says it’s time for compensation and begs for the 24/7 Championship.

Brooke shoves Truth and runs off, only to bump into Carmella. Dana apologises but Carmella doesn’t accept. Dana says Carmella hasn’t been relevant of since James Ellsworth worked here. Carmella says Dana is a sorry excuse for a wife and a wrestler but Brooke takes a shot at Corey Graves before running off. Truth runs into Carmella and gets excited, saying they should team-up again and she can help him get his baby back. Carmella says she’ll help him when the time is right and she can get her hands on Brooke.

*Commercial Break*

Lacey Evans comes to the ring. She talks about the armed forces and how much they volunteer for America. She asks the entire arena to get on their feet and give a round of applause. A “USA” chant breaks out. Evans says she appreciates the warm welcome back to WWE and she is honoured to have some service men and women in the crowd tonight. She knows what they go through and she thanks them.

Evans says finding the courage to fight is hard, to change your circumstances is hard. But they have the ability to do so. We have what it takes. She wants her daughters to know that. That they have what it takes to wake up, work, and win. She might not be better than any of other women in the back but they’re damn sure no better than her.

Riddle is backstage in a smoky room. He says nothing is going to stop him and Orton from unifying the Tag Team Championships on SmackDown this Friday, because RK-Bro 4:20 says “we just smoked your ass”. The Uso’s are also backstage and they say RK-Bro have no chance because they are The Bloodline, the ones, and they will bring all the gold home.

*Commercial Break*

*Commercial Break*

Lynch wants the Dis-Arm-her but Asuka counter with an armbar of her own but Becky gets free. Asuka catches Lynch with the Asuka Lock but Becky rolls back into a pin for a near-fall. Becky is sent to the apron where she kicks Asuka in the head twice.

Lynch goes up top and jumps but Asuka ducks her and catches a rolling armbar. Becky rolls to the ropes to force the break. Lynch rolls to the apron and snaps Asuka’s neck on the rope, then goes around to talk trash to Belair and try to goad her into hitting her – seeking a DQ victory. Asuka goes out and attacks Becky, but Lynch ends-up tossing Asuka into Belair!

Lynch puts Asuka in the ring and kicks Belair. Bianca chases Becky back into the ring and gets on the apron. The referee is distracted with Belair, so Becky grabs Asuka’s umbrella from the steps and wants to hit her but Asuka sprays her with poison mist. Asuka connects with a buzzsaw kick for the win and she is the new number one contender.

Winner: Asuka
