WWE Shortens Tommaso Ciampa’s Name

Tommaso Ciampa had an impressive stint in Triple H’s NXT. Ciampa gave spectacular matches, delivered intense promos and had a rivalry of the year with former NXT star Johnny Gargano.

Ciampa appeared during tonight’s RAW. He attacked Mustafa Ali following the latter’s win over The Miz. It appears that Ciampa is once again back to being heel. The last time he played heel was during his feud with Gargano.

Also, WWE has shortened his name to just Ciampa. According to Sean Sapp of Fightful, Ciampa’s name has officially been shortened internally. Here’s what Sapp tweeted.

WWE has been shortening and changing names of late. The orders are said to have directly come from WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. We’ll have to wait and see what’s next for Ciampa.
