RAW

Monday Night RAW opens with Riddle in the ring, which is surrounded by most of the roster. Riddle welcomes us to the show and says tonight is special because it’s the 20th anniversary of Randy Orton’s debut.

We see a fantastic video package of Orton’s illustrious Career set to the song ‘Voices’ by Motionless In White. Riddle welcomes the apex predator, the viper, the legend killer, and future Hall of Famer Randy Orton to the ring to a big pop from the Knoxville fans.

Orton says he appreciates the love and, in fact, he was born in Knoxville, Tennessee. He says it’s been a long journey, lots of ups-and-downs but he hopes the fns aren’t getting sick of him because he isn’t going anywhere. He’s had a lot of good relationships and badass matches with guys like John Cena, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Mick Foley… and it’s only because of Foley that he’s here right now. But there’s one thing different these days: he’s having more fun than ever before andit’s all because of Riddle.

RK-Bro hug and the fans chant for them. Orton says him and the fans have had a tumultuous relationship but if it weren’t for them he wouldn’t be here either, so he thanks the fans too. Riddle says he has a surprise in store, someone who says Randy is a mentor to him, looks up to him as a locker room leader, and even calls him a friend. Riddle then introduces Cody Rhodes and Orton smiles ear-to-ear. Orton and Cody hug in the ring and Riddle gets a little jealous but they all laugh about it.

Seth Rollins gets on the microphone and say this is all very cute. He tells Randy not to trust Cody Rhodes and says he’s trying to steal the spotlight again. Rollins says not everything is about Cody, believe it or not. Tonight, specifically, is about Randy Orton. It’s been a helluva twenty years but let’s be honest, Orton’s best years are behind him. He’s not the future and neither is Cody. The next generation won’t be inspired by a bro, a nightmare or a viper, they’re going to be inspired by a revolutionary like him.

Ezekiel speaks up and gets in the ring. He says he wants to congratulate Randy and introduce himself. He says he can never forget him and his brother Elias watching Orton on TV. Kevin Owens comes through the crowd and screams that Ezekiel is a liar. He speaks like Elias, he looks like Elias because he is Elias!! He says Ezekiel is a disgusting piece of trash and he’s going to figure out how he faked the lie detector test. Owens is losing it and out come The Uso’s.

Jey says they were fifteen watching Randy Orton on TV and they have a favourite moment of Orton’s career: when they beat him and Riddle at WrestleMania Backlash. Doing that will solidify their legacy as the greatest tag team of all-time because they’re the ones. Adam Pearce comes out and says The Uso’s will be in action tonight, teaming with Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens to face RK-Bro, Ezekiel, and Cody Rhodes. All eight men begin arguing and Owens punches Ezekiel, but then Orton RKO’s him and the heels backtrack.

Belair comes out and batters Deville with forearms but gets run into the apron, then tossed into the barricade. Belair lifts Deville up but Sonya grabs the hair to get off. Belair slings Deville over the barricade using her own hair. She goes to get Deville but gets hit in the gut with a chair. Deville hits her again and the referee calls for the bell.

Sonya again stops Mike Rome from making an announcement. She says Belair cheated first by using her hair, she just levelled the playing field. She has the match restarted again, this time with no disqualifications and no count-outs. Deville waves to the back and out come Carmella and Queen Zelina down to the ring as we head to the break.

Zelina yells that she’s going back on her word but Deville slaps her across the face. Carmella looks to slap Sonya but Deville reminds her she’s an official… then slaps Carmella as well.

Edge and Damian Priest are in their throne room. Edge says that, upon his mountain of omnipotence, they look down upon anyone. Like AJ Styles and Finn Balor. They’re better than everyone but they haven’t showed it because they were too concerned with stupid fans that vote for Glenn Jacobs. Edge says the fans keep asking why he uses fancy words, wear suits and has dark lights, it’s because he’s better than everyone. The fans might not like the taste of that but it’s no surprise considering all they know is greasy cheeseburgers and hot dogs. Edge says AJ Styles isn’t here because he’s at home rehabbing a separated shoulder, the same shoulder he injured in the Royal Rumble two years ago when he made his miraculous return. He tells AJ to stay home and hug his kids with his one good arm. Damian Priest says judgement day has come for Finn Balor.

*Commercial Break*

Omos and MVP come to the ring for the arm wrestling contest. MVP says Bobby Lashley’s massive ego made him go to WrestleMania without him. His ego is so big that he thinks he can beat Omos in an arm-wrestling contest. Of course, Lashley is far too strong and fast for the average man, but Omos is not an average man, he’s a colossus. Omos is going to destroy Lashley.

Lashley has heard enough and he comes down to the ring. They take their places at the podium and clasp hands. They start and Omos gets the better of Bobby as MVP criticises and mocks him. Lashley gets fired-up and starts turning the tide. Lashley slowly beats him and MVP tries to hit him with the cane but Lashley spots it, only for Omos to attack him. Omos slams Lashley’s face into the arm-wrestling table and throws it aside. Omos clubs Lashley down with a clothesline. MVP then orders Omos to crush him, so Omos lifts the table and drives it into Lashley’s chest a few times.

She didn’t want to show her face on RAW because she doesn’t know who Becky Lynch is without the title. She didn’t recognise herself. She’s hit rock bottom and that’s all she has to say. She goes to leave but stops herself and starts laughing.

She says if she’s hit rock botom that means there’s nowhere to go but up. This isn’t the end, this is the beginning of a legendary comeback. Nobody does a comeback better than her. She can’t stay down wallowing with the slubs of Earth, she’s like an arrow that’s been pulled back so she can shoot into heights unknown. And us fans get to watch her get back to her precious. She’ll be a Champion again and she’ll hold it forever and nobody will beat her. Not Bianca Belair, not Tamina, not Natalya, nobody.

Becky is interrupted by someone we haven’t seen in a very long time… Asuka! The fans chant her name and she dances.
