Austin Theory (now simply “Theory” after WWE changed several wrestlers’ ring names) is on a mission. Theory wants a piece of WWE legend John Cena. Since winning the United States Championship, Vince McMahon’s right-hand man has been calling Cena out.

At a recent WWE live event over the weekend, Theory celebrated his title win and defense by trolling an unsuspecting young fan. The fan was adorned in full John Cena gear. Cena is massively popular with young audiences, despite taking a break from WWE at the moment.

Theory walked right up to the kid after his match and told him what he thinks of John Cena. Cena had multiple memorable runs as United States Champion, the first of which launched him into stardom. Theory is trying to take some of that shine away for himself.

“See that? It makes me better than John Cena.”

The fan can be heard screaming “Nooo!” after Theory made his comment. Theory intended to upset the young fan. Eventually, it might lead to a storyline where Cena comes back to defend his fans, but nothing is set in stone.

Theory is going to continue calling out Cena until he gets some kind of response. The WWE Universe has been waiting a long time for John Cena’s return. The seeds have now been planted by Theory. Time will tell if it’s enough for Cena to step in.
