Theory has tremendous potential to be a top draw in WWE and there’s no denying that. After all, Vince McMahon sees the young wrestler as the next John Cena-tier star in the company. McMahon also saw a lot in John Cena twenty years ago, and Theory looked up to the 16x Champion for years.

Theory won the United States Championship from Finn Balor on RAW. Fans have drawn similarities between Theory and John Cena over the fact that both had their first singles title in the U.S. Championship.

The 24-year-old took to Twitter to wish Cena a happy birthday. For those not in the know, Cena turned 45 today. Theory posted a video of him trolling a young John Cena fan at a WWE live event.

Happy Birthday @JohnCena! Sorry I’m a better U.S Champ than you…

Theory has tremendous respect for Cena outside the WWE ring. He even regarded Cena’s “Never Give Up” attitude in and outside the ring helped Theory get through childhood bullying.
