WWE Raw Star Austin Theory has put on quite a performance so far. The company seems to be also pushing him; he is currently involved in a feud with Pat MacAfee and not to mention he is Vince McMahon’s Protégé.
Ahead of WrestleMania match between Austin Theory and Pat McAfee, Bryan Alvarez of Figure Four Weekly talked about his observations of the promotion on Wrestling Observer Live. He said McMahon sees Austin as a next John Cena tier star.
“Listen, let me tell you one thing is abundantly clear, whether you see it or not, most of you don’t, Vince sees this guy as a John Cena, this Austin Theory and there’s a reason why he’s grooming him and he’s always there in his segments. That’s what he sees in this guy. Maybe he wants to teach Theory that you need to learn how to lose at WrestleMania, but I would presume Austin Theory is winning.”
Prior to signing with WWE, Austin has wrestled for several promotions. Before debuting on the red brand he wrestled on NXT. It appears he has become new favorite of McMahon, We’ll see what becomes of him as time passes.
Austin is set to fight Pat McAfee on second night of WrestleMania 38 in a singles match. The event will be held at AT&T Stadium on April 2 and 3 (Saturday and Sunday). You can check out the full card right here.
