Satnam Singh’s debut on this week’s AEW Dynamite did not go as well as expected. Fans have criticized the segment for taking away from fantastic match between Minoru Suzuki and Samoa Joe for the Ring of Honor TV title. Tony Khan later stated that he wished he could’ve done things differently.

During his appearance on Busted Open Radio, Khan said having the lights go out before Sing’s debut was somebody else’s idea. Fans took to Twitter to call Khan out for taking what they believed was bad advice.

Khan began responding to the criticism almost immediately. When one fan told TK that he had as much experience booking as Khan did when AEW started, Khan agreed. Tony said the fans always know what they’re talking about.

“Yeah and that’s why I am the first to say the fans are always right, and that this is a great example that the fans know what they’re talking about”

Another fan pointed out what they see as hypocrisy among fans who will find any reason to criticize AEW. Had Khan not listened to the veteran who advised him to do the lights-out angle for Sing’s debut, the fan said they would’ve complained about him not listening to experienced wrestling minds.

Ultimately, Tony Khan is in control of what happens in AEW. Khan said he wished he could have done things differently. It can’t be taken back, but Tony is making sure to justify the way Satnam Singh’s debut was booked.
