Cody Rhodes left AEW back in February along with his wife Brandi. After over a month of speculation and anticipation, Cody Rhodes made his way back to WWE at WrestleMania 38. Rhodes also explained the moment he knew he was leaving AEW.

Rhodes has now become one of the mainstays of Monday Night RAW, having beaten The Miz recently. He is also currently feuding with Seth Rollins and fans are excited about his future.

While speaking on SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio, Cody Rhodes talked about his AEW departure. Rhodes revealed the moment he knew he was sure of leaving AEW.

“[The moment] I knew that it was going to and needed to happen for me was the Loews Hotel over by Rosemont, which is by Allstate Arena. Allstate, where WWE regularly runs for Chicago. But I looked at Brandi and I told her. And the last time I told her something like that was when I told her I was leaving WWE. I just – I kind of had done it all in my mind. I was just sitting there at that little bar to the right side in a little corner booth, and I knew.”
