Sheamus may have AEW interest around him, but his agent just made one thing very clear: if they want to do business, it may not be a friendly little phone call.

Nick LoPiccolo dropped a pointed message on X, and the part that matters most was his warning that AEW may now have to negotiate with the same person he believes was kept out of the conversation.

“Don’t piss off the Snowman or the dirt sheets Tony definitely doesn’t influence, and in some cases control, won’t say your name.

Congrats on Booker of the Year.

Now good luck negotiating with the person you made them afraid to write about.”

LoPiccolo is basically saying that if AEW wants to talk Sheamus, they may have to deal with someone he believes Tony Khan and certain wrestling media outlets tried to avoid naming or covering.

The post came after AEW sources had no idea Sheamus would be departing WWE, and that at least one AEW talent is expected to push to work with him in AEW, CMLL, or other outside promotions. That opened the door to Sheamus-to-AEW talk, especially because Sheamus and Claudio Castagnoli are still close.

LoPiccolo first had some fun with the idea, asking if AEW needed his number. When John “TimeTravelin” Ehresmann joked that LoPiccolo could be hard to reach, Nick fired back that AEW would have one problem before making that call.

“Yeah they would have to thinks how unblock me.”

What that said, Sheamus is still said to be technically under WWE contract for now, even though his run with the company appears to be winding down. WWE tried to keep him with a reworked deal, but he turned it down. Once he is fully clear, AEW will be one of the names people talk about, but LoPiccolo is making it sound like there could be baggage before any real offer even happens.

For now, Sheamus’ next move is still not locked in. But if AEW wants to get involved, Nick LoPiccolo just sent a pretty direct message: good luck negotiating.

What do you think? Did Nick LoPiccolo just make Sheamus-to-AEW talks harder, or is this exactly how business gets started in wrestling? Let us know in the comments below.
