WWE Hall Of Famer ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin‘s stock continues to rise and there is a good reason for that. He single-handedly ushered in The Attitude Era and became a global phenomenon. McAfee also revealed something interesting about Steve Austin’s WrestleMania 38 program.

In the main event of WrestleMania 38 Night 1, Steve Austin duked it out with Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred match. The Texas Rattlesnake defeated Owens in a match that went better than expected.

Steve Austin is also synonymous with flipping the bird, so it was no surprise he did so at WrestleMania 38. While speaking on the latest episode of his podcast, Pat McAfee revealed Steve Austin’s reaction when he was told not to flip the bird at WrestleMania 38.

“He was working on coming out. And you know, we’re in a different era now of the WWE than we were then. So I got to watch this dude’s entrance within an empty stadium or whatever. He goes right to that top rope, f**king both fingers straight up in the air. He’s doing his whole thing.

And then I see three producers running over [to him] ‘Can’t do that. Can’t do that’. So he does it again. ‘Can’t do that.’ He was like, ‘Alright.’ So he just put his fist up or whatever. So then as I was watching him [at the show], I was wondering, ‘There’s no way he keeps that middle finger down, the middle finger from Steve Austin is coming at some point.’ And then last night, he had a couple.”

Fans were simply glad to see The Texas Rattlesnake wrestle after so long and that is what matters in the end. It remains to be seen whether Steve Austin will return to WWE television somewhere down the line.
