Last night’s WrestleMania 38 highlight was undoubtedly Stone Cold Steve Austin and Vince McMahon standing face to face in the ring once again, after their fight that kicked off in 1998 and ended in 2001. Then McMahon took one of the worst stunners of all time.

McMahon won against Pat McAfee before Austin made his way down to the ring and performed his stunner finisher on Austin Theory. After the Stunner, Austin and his longtime on-screen rival went on to celebrate with beers in the ring. As everyone expected, Austin dropped the beer can and delivered another Stunner to the WWE Chairman.

Backstage, McMahon was not bothered by the botch. According to WrestglingNews.co, McMahon “was said to be all smiles and didn’t seem bothered by the botch.” It was also reported that staff members and talents watching backstage “got a kick out of seeing McMahon taking a bump again.”

There was a slight technical error with the audio during the segment. Before Austin walked out, they played Austin Theory’s music and McMahon reacted with a concerned look on his face. Apparently, Stone Cold’s music was supposed to play right away and that is probably why McMahon reacted early.

After performing a Stunner on McMahon, Austin and McAfee had beers in the ring but that too was short-lived as Austin went on to hit McAfee with a Stunner.
