Kevin Owens is set for a huge showdown with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin at WrestleMania 38. Owens called out the Texas Rattlesnake on last night’s WWE Raw. Austin answered the call today, and it sounds like he’s coming to the show of shows looking for a fight.

Owens was a big fan of Steve Austin at one point. In an old clip from “The Kevin Steen Show” from Highspots, the WWE superstar told a hilarious story. It involved playing with action figures and trying to recreate an authentic Steve Austin entrance. In the clip, Jimmy Jacobs loses it with laughter when KO finally got to the punchline.

“When I used to play with my action figures, I would have the music queued up for the guy’s entrances. But, for Steve Austin, I felt like the music wasn’t enough. I needed, like, a special effect.

So, I threw a mug at a wall to do the glass breaking. But, I’m stupid. First of all, the mug is not glass. It was, whatever they’re made of. I threw that f*cking thing as hard as I could at a wall. It wasn’t a brick wall or anything. My dad came home. I was seventeen.”

No longer a lonely teenager playing with his toys, Kevin Owens will get a chance to go face-to-face with one of his childhood heroes. Steve Austin was not pleased with Kevin’s trash talk about the state of Texas. It should make for an explosive segment.

The hilarious story brings the entire rivalry into perspective. Steve Austin hasn’t wrestled in nearly twenty years. Kevin Owens probably never thought he’d be face to face with the WWE legend in his life. Now, the two will throw down at WrestleMania.
