The Bollywood Boyz are reclaiming success inside the world of independent circuit following five-year WWE career. The brothers (real names Gurvinder Shira and Harvinder Shira) recently won tag team gold at an indie event.

Gurvinder and Harvinder, who now go by the name of Blondz of Bollywood, beat Midnight Heat in a ladder match at DEFY Wrestling’s DEFYYearV show. The event emanated from Washington Hall in Seattle.

The match was all sorts of brutal and featured several big spots. Both Gurvinder and Harvinder were busted wide open during the match. That didn’t stop them from reaching to the top of the ladder to clinch the belts.

Matt Cardona, who recently won the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship from Trevor Murdoch, took to Twitter to congratulate the duo on winning the tag team titles.

Dave Meltzer previously stated that 1/2 of the former Singh brothers had issues getting to the United States to work independent events. While Meltzer didn’t name which one of the brothers had visa issues, he said he helped the person sort out the matter.
