Samu Anoa’i is one of the WWE’s most legendary tag team competitors. Samu was a member of the legendary Wild Samoans group along with his father and uncle, Afa and Sika. From 1992 through 1996 he joined Fatu (Rikishi) to form The Headshrinkers. The family legacy eventually brought the WWE Universe Roman Reigns. Samu is The Big Dog’s godfather.

Samu recently made a Facebook post where he thanked Vince McMahon and WWE while holding up what appeared to be a contract. Fans wondered what this meant. The Daily Item later reported that Samu had signed a “WWE Nostalgia Contract.”

It isn’t known if this is some type of new deal that WWE is giving out instead of legends contracts. It sounds quite similar to the standard legends deal. Samu said he was honored to return to the company that his family has been with since he was born.

“I am truly honored to return to the company in which has been my family since I was born.

I am also happy for the wrestling fans of Sunbury and surrounding areas who have always welcomed me, my family, my brother Afa and son Lance with open arms. I have made several friends who are now family to me and that is priceless.

I want to thank Mr. McMahon, the rest of the McMahon family, and all of the WWE officials for all they have done for me and my family.”

The deal covers the same things as a standard legends contract. Fans might soon see Samu merchandise, memorabilia, and collectibles coming along soon. Samu is incredibly excited to be working with WWE once again.
