Booker T Believes Matt Riddle Will Be A World Champion In WWE

Ever since Matt Riddle signed with WWE, he has been one of the mainstays of WWE television, be it in NXT or the main roster. His in-ring skills are one of the best in the company and he already has good fan following. Despite that, he isn’t the easiest person to understand.

Matt Riddle’s character has certainly gotten over with fans thanks to his comedic timing and generally cool attitude while still being that of a stoner character. Vince McMahon wasn’t immediately on board with his character either.

While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T said that Matt Riddle should have been the one to win the Men’s Royal Rumble match his year as he had a lot of momentum. Booker then said added that he believes Riddle will be a world champion in WWE one day.

“I don’t know how true that is (that Riddle was originally supposed to win the Royal Rumble). Riddle is highly touted, I must say he is very highly touted as far as perhaps being future world champion in WWE one day. Me, personally, when I read it, I wasn’t shocked or surprised or anything like that, I go, ‘Yeah, I could see that happening.”

We exclusively reported that Matt Riddle was never supposed to win the Royal Rumble match. It remains to be seen whether Riddle will win major title in WWE, perhaps against Randy Orton.
