Push Within WWE For Randy Orton & Matt Riddle To Battle For Top Title

Randy Orton’s contributions to WWE cannot be understated as he has been one of the mainstays of the company for almost twenty years now. Orton went on to solidify himself as one of the greatest Superstars in the company’s history. It seems the two might be engaged in a huge feud somewhere down the line as well.

The Viper has been paired up with Matt Riddle for the past several months and remained one of the highlights of Monday Night RAW. They have also gotten closer in real life.

Orton also previously revealed how he was taken aback by Matt Riddle’s behavior during their first meeting. Wrestle Votes took to Twitter and reported that the company wanted the two to split up since SummerSlam last year. Some in creative believe if the two do split up, it will be for the WWE Championship.

WWE had plans since the pairing began last spring for Riddle vs Randy Orton @ SummerSlam, which didn’t happen. Plan was to hold off til Mania. I’m told now only a handful of creative members want to spilt them, w/ the idea that if the match happens, it should be for the WWE title

Randy Orton and Matt Riddle are currently feuding with The Alpha Academy as Team RK-Bro is determined to gain back the RAW Tag Team Championships, which they lost to Alpha Academy earlier this month. It remains to be seen if they will split up or not.
