Austin Theory had a memorable run in NXT where he was part of Johnny Gargano’s stable, The Way. He would eventually make his way to the main roster and his fortunes increased from there. It seems Johnny Gargano has a high opinion of Austin Theory.

Austin Theory has been engaged in a storyline with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon ever since Survivor Series concluded last year. It also featured him getting slapped by Vince McMahon. Many fans believe Theory is on the cusp of greatness as well.

While speaking with Comicbook, Johnny Gargano talked about Austin Theory working with Vince McMahon on Monday Night RAW. Gargano stated that he believes Theory and Indi Hartwell can make a lot of money for WWE for several years.

“It feels like Austin (Theory) just kind of went from me being his father figure to Vince McMahon now being his father figure. But yeah, it’s wild, man. I’m so happy for him because he does work really, really hard. And Austin and Indi (Hartwell) both, it was always my mission this past year to put them in a position to where they could be Superstars.

And they’re so young and they’re so talented, the both of them, and I feel like WWE has such a gold mine in Austin and Indi that I hope they take advantage of it because I feel like they can make that company a lot of money for many, many years. But yeah, it’s so cool to see.”

Mark Henry also recently stated that he believes Austin Theory could become the face of the company in the future. Theory will be competing in his first Royal Rumble match on January 29th, so we will have to wait and see how he will perform in the match.
