Austin Theory got the rub of lifetime recently, as he’s been placed in a prominent role on WWE television with Vince McMahon. Theory was revealed to have stolen McMahon’s valuable Cleopatra egg, gift from The Rock to celebrate his movie, Red Notice. McMahon ended up rewarding Theory with a title match.

Mr. McMahon also told Theory to never do such a thing again. He threatened to kill him if he ever stole from him again. Then, he hit Theory with a solid slap. On WWE After The Bell, Theory shared what the experience was like.

“When you think wrestling, and Wrestling God, it’s Vince McMahon. When I’m sitting there and talking to him, it’s like, ‘Wow, it doesn’t get bigger than this.’ I probably watched the video of getting slapped 100 times.”

I would say, just don’t upset Vince McMahon. He’s got some hands.”

It sounds like Vince McMahon is still very strong. He’s 76-years-old and still stinging the young guys when he slaps them. Austin Theory found out the hard way, but his WWE Championship match with Big E was likely worth it.

Austin Theory came from Evolve to NXT after a tryout in 2018. He debuted on the Christmas episode of NXT in 2019 against Roderick Strong for the NXT North American title in a losing effort. Just two years later, he finds himself on TV with Vince McMahon and wrestling for world titles.
