Mark Henry Thinks Austin Theory Could Be The Face Of The Company

Austin Theory had a memorable run in NXT where he was part of Johnny Gargano’s stable, The Way. He would eventually make his way to the main roster and his fortunes increased from there. It seems Mark Henry has a high opinion of Austin Theory.

Austin Theory has been engaged in a storyline with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon ever since Survivor Series concluded last year. It also featured him getting slapped by Vince McMahon. Many fans believe Theory is on the cusp of greatness as well.

While speaking Busted Open Radio, Mark Henry talked about Austin Theory’s future in WWE. Henry believed that Theory could become the face of WWE in the future due to his association with Vince McMahon.

”Austin Theory is doing something that very few wrestlers get to do, which is play Robin to Batman, which means playing Robin to Vince McMahon. Steve Austin did it, The Rock did it, Mankind did it, and you go down the list of talents that had serious interactions with Vince, those storylines with Vince: who did they become? The face of the company, ‘The Guy.’

Austin Theory is on that trajectory right now. He is young and can be groomed, he listens, he wants to be great. Theory also realizes the position is that he is in, and he is doing what he’s told and he’ll be a star.”

Tommy Dreamer also recently urged Austin Theory to not blow his opportunity in WWE. Theory will be competing in his first Royal Rumble match on January 29th, so we will have to wait and see how he will perform in the match.
