Chelsea Green Almost Invented A New Finisher In NXT By Accident

Chelsea Green is one of the hottest names in wrestling outside of WWE and AEW. The Hot Mess has been on quite a run for Impact Wrestling. She’s been appearing on-screen with her new husband, Matt Cardona. The pair were married on New Year’s in Las Vegas. It’s been a time of great change for Chelsea.

Green appeared at the ROH Final Battle pay-per-view where she teamed up with Allysin Kay and Marti Belle to take on Mandy Leon, Angelina Love, and Miranda Alize. Chelsea also became cover model for the first time. It’s safe to say she has been maximizing her exposure.

Chelsea recently talked to Fightful Select about various topics related to her wrestling career. One of the more interesting stories took place during her time in NXT. Green almost invented a new finisher by accident.

“On the subject of finishing moves, Chelsea Green recalled doing the Unprettier backwards on accident in NXT because of a miscommunication with her opponent. The move ended up looking really good, to the point where it was considered to be changed. However, the opponent said her neck hurt a bit after taking it, so Chelsea stuck with the “it’s not broke, don’t fix it,” train of thought.”

It is always a good thing when wrestlers err on the side of caution. If the move was dangerous then it shouldn’t be performed. There are enough unnecessary injuries in the sport as it is.

Chelsea Green is turning into a prototype for other wrestlers who want to get over but don’t have the major national television exposure afforded by the larger companies. She is working anywhere she can. Chelsea isn’t afraid to mix it up with the men. Her career is on the rise in 2022.
