Chelsea Green Takes Unprotected Chair Shot From Matt Cardona

Chelsea Green has been building her brand since WWE released her in the Spring of 2021. The Hot Mess has taken up work as fitness model. She’s also having success in Impact Wrestling.

Green and her fiancé, Matt Cardona, make up one of pro wrestling’s power couples. The two finally got an opportunity to work together on the national stage now that they’re both with Impact. On last night’s show, she exhibited the ultimate display of trust.

Cardona was involved in a contract-signing segment with W. Morrissey (Big Cass in WWE) on the show for their match at the Hard to Kill PPV. Moose interfered and attacked Cardona, sending him through a table. When Cardona tried to retaliate with a chair shot, he missed. He slammed Chelsea in the head with an incredibly stiff shot.

Green was laid out after the impact. Moose laughed as he made his way to the locker room. Cardona desperately cried for help.

While Chelsea did get her hands up, the sound of the chair slamming into her skull was deafening. It is rare to see such a spot in wrestling these days. Promoters have been forced to take the very real dangers of head trauma more seriously.

Chelsea Green has retweeted videos and memes about the incident, so she appears to be OK. Cardona really let loose with the chair strike. It’s fortunate that everything went well and she wasn’t seriously injured.

Fans will surely debate the need for such a spot in today’s wrestling. For Chelsea Green, it’s just another day at the office. She has shown she’s willing to do what it takes to establish herself as a star in the wrestling industry.
