It seems that Maxwell Jacob Friedman has a very clear vision of the future, and a goal he is working hard towards. MJF recently had a conversation with Josh Martinez, wherein he discussed this goal of his.
MJF has his eyes set on the AEW World Champion Title, and will “die trying” to win it. As of yet, MJF’s only significant triumphs have been the Dynamite Diamond Ring in 2019 and 2020.
However, the Salt of the Earth has promised his fans that the title will be his. Calling it the most important wrestling championship in the world, and current champion Adam Page the best wrestler in the world by extension, Friedman made a bold claim. He made it quite clear while speaking to Z100 radio.
I’ve already beaten him [Adam Page], and I know I can beat him again, especially with something on the line as important as that world title.
Friedman has made it very clear how badly he wants to win, stating that “there is nothing in this world that [he wants] more than that strap around [his] waist.” If Friedman’s dream were to come true, he would not only be the youngest world champion in AEW history, but one of the youngest in all of professional wrestling history.
It is certain that Friedman has the drive and the skills required. Whether he actually pulls through in 2022, is yet to be seen. Check out the interview below.
