WWE has filed trademarks on two more superstar ring names. Neither is for a new superstar, as both wrestlers have been with the company for some time. The trademark filings were dated December 1, 2021.

The two new trademarks are for “Xyon Quinn” and “Jinny.” Quinn has been competing on camera as Xyon Quinn since August of 2019. Jinny is the name for a competitor on the company’s NXT UK brand. The description of the filing is standard for a wrestler’s name.

“Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment.”

Xyon Quinn came from the world of pro rugby. He competed in the National Rugby League in Australia. He debuted for WWE in 2019 and shortly thereafter was repackaged to the current name. He has competed on 205 Live and in NXT 2.0.

Jinny was a PROGRESS wrestler who was known on the independent scene before joining WWE. She is the current romantic partner of WALTER. Jinny is a featured talent for the NXT UK brand.

While there’s nothing new or interesting about these filings, it does continue to show that WWE works hard to maintain their intellectual property. While the filings may just be renewals, it’s an indication that they plan to keep using the names going forward. That’s more than can be said for many of their now-former coworkers.
