Sting has been enjoying a career rebirth since teaming up with Darby Allin in All Elite Wrestling. The 62-year-old wrestler delivered a well-received cinematic match with Allin against Ricky Starks and Brian Cage at the company’s Revolution PPV. After some convincing from Darby, Sting eventually made his return to wrestling in front of the fans.

Sting has always been well thought of by his fellow wrestlers. Kurt Angle said he was never locker room politician. Now, a fellow AEW veteran is singing the Stinger’s praises. Matt Hardy took to Twitter to let the icon know how he feels.

No one deserves this current run in pro wrestling more than @Sting. Sting is the best. I have a great respect for him & I am grateful he gets to finish his career properly in @AEW.

Hardy recently talked about what he wanted his legacy to be in wrestling. Compared to Sting, Hardy is one of the young guys. Matt is 47, while Sting is 62 years old. Matt Hardy has been around long enough, though, to recognize a legend when he sees one.

Last night, Sting and Darby ended the undefeated streak of the Gunn Club. Despite their difference in age, fans have taken to the pairing. Sting’s mentorship storyline with Allin is something people believe in. The two have great chemistry.

Nobody knows how long Sting will be able to make this final run last. So far, he’s showed no signs of slowing down. The on-screen relationship with Darby Allin means there are a ton of stories to tell without Sting having to push himself too far physically.

What do you think of Matt Hardy’s kind words for Sting? Let us know in the comments!
