WWE returns to their traditional post-Christmas tradition of a show at Madison Square Garden. We now know that the show on December 26, 2021, will feature two steel cage matches.

Mike Johnson of PW Insider reported the news. WWE Champion Big E will face Seth Rollins in one of the main event cage bouts. In the other, WWE Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch will square off with Bianca Belair. The venue announced the matches on their official Twitter.

“JUST ANNOUNCED: For the first time ever at MSG, 2 Steel Cage Matches on the same night! Don’t miss the WWE LIVE Holiday Tour on Dec 26”

RKO, Finn Balor, Bobby Lashley, Zelina Vega, Omos, AJ Styles, Damian Priest, The Street Profits, Rey Mysterio, Miz, and Rhea Ripley are also advertised for the show. No other matches have been announced for WWE’s return to MSG currently.

WWE has put on shows after Christmas at the venerable venue for decades. The tradition was briefly halted in 2020 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. WWE fans in NYC might be in for a great stocking stuffer this year, though.

WWE often touts their long history at Madison Square Garden. Bruno Sammartino was one of the arena’s most famous draws. The first WrestleMania took place at MSG. WrestleMania 10 and 20 also took place in the world’s most famous arena.
