Madison Square Garden, which is dubbed “The World’s Most Famous Arena,” is not going undergo relocation. MSG is one of the biggest venues in the world of wrestling, with its most recent pro-wrestling event being WWE SmackDown on September 10th, 2021.

PWI reports that the venue will not be undergoing relocation. MSG has been going through a lot of turbulence in terms of its placement. That came to an end in a November 23rd hearing when MTA Chairman Janno Lieber said that the venue will not be relocated anywhere else.

The biggest reason why Madison Square Garden’s potential shift was stopped, Lieber revealed, is because the logistical proceedings would prevent the Penn Station and all of its facilities from undergoing renovation. The station hosts Long Island Railroad, New Jersey Transit and Amtrak lines, which are located underneath MSG.

The plan to relocate MSG also came to an end because of the overwhelming amount of planning it would require. Lieber asked in the hearing, “Where would Madison Square Garden move? How would it be funded?” The total estimates of relocating MSG are figured to be around $8.6 billion dollars.
