Becky Lynch was absent from WWE television since May of last year but that changed after she made her shocking return at WWE SummerSlam. Her return was a controversial one after she decimated Bianca Belair to win the Smackdown Women’s title in 26 seconds. It seems Jimmy Korderas has an interesting take on Becky Lynch’s heel run.

Lynch successfully retained the Smackdown Women’s Title at WWE Crown Jewel against Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair. Since then Lynch made her way to Monday Night RAW and is now the RAW Women’s Champion. She has remained a heel since WWE SummerSlam and while some fans like her characters, others simply do not.

While speaking on The Wrestling Inc. Daily, former WWE referee Jimmy Korderas talked about Becky Lynch’s current run as a heel. Korderas stated that he believes Becky Lynch will be turned into a babyface as fans refuse to accept her as a heel.

That’s how it felt. That promo at the end afterward felt so genuine and you felt the emotion coming out of Becky. That’s what makes me question, where they go moving forward with this,” Korderas stated. “Is this WWE saying, ‘listen, the fans are not going to accept Becky as a heel, regardless of what she does they’re going to cheer her’? So let her go back to being the loved superstar that she was before. So maybe this is transitioning her back to the babyface role. The fans, let’s face it, they want a babyface, Becky. That’s the feeling I got from her because I felt sorry for her. Listening to her to talk about Charlotte and the betrayal and the backstabbing and whatever it was that went on. The babyfaces are the ones that gain sympathy, not the heels.”
