Bobby Lashley is one of the most legitimate athletes to have competed in the world of both MMA and pro wrestling. For a long time now Lashley has made it clear he wants to face off against Brock Lesnar in any way possible. It seems Booker T has some concerns regarding the match.

Even fans themselves have wanted nothing more than for the two behemoths to finally square off inside the squared circle. Lashley made it clear on numerous occasions he wants to face the Beast.

The match did not happen for a variety of reasons, mostly due to Brock Lesnar’s feud with Roman Reigns. Some fans are also concerned about the fact that it might be too little too late for the match to even happen.

While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T talked about the potential Bobby Lashley vs Brock Lesnar match. Booker T was worried that the match might be past its prime when it finally happens.

“You know what, I want to see it as well. I want to see it before it is like the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight, which was well past its prime. How long are we going to wait to see it and when it finally happens it was not able to live up to the expectations as both guys were not capable of going out there and giving us what we actually wanted.

Right now, I think Brock Lesnar is capable of going out there and delivering. I know Bobby Lashley is capable of going out there and delivering. I think these two guys, Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley, can go out there and have a match that is different than anybody on the card or perhaps we have ever seen.”

Booker T certainly speaks sense as dream matches taking place far too late can be disastrous. The most recent example would be Goldberg vs The Undertaker at WWE Crown Jewel, which almost resulted in tragedy. It remains to be seen if Lashley and Lesnar will finally duke it out soon enough.
