WWE released over a dozen Superstars from the main roster and NXT today. Plenty of people within the pro wrestling world commented on this, including Jordynne Grace who was not happy at all. It seems that Kenny Omega also chipped in his opinion.
Kenny Omega sent out a very interesting tweet after the news broke that the company just cut so many Superstars. It seems that The Cleaner is considering some of the people who lost their jobs today as future opponents.
Old rivals, old friends, some I’ve never encountered… I don’t mind padding my record if they don’t mind being a statistic. See if I care.
AEW can’t sign everyone that WWE lets go, but it’s still very hard for Tony Khan to pass up a great chance to book someone with a lot of potential. We’ll have to see what’s next for everyone involved, but we’ll soon see in 30 and 90 days, depending on what kind of contract those Superstars had at the time of their release.
