For many fans, CM Punk’s debut at AEW Rampage: The First Dance is one of the greatest moments in the company’s history and it is hard to argue why. To add to that, his debut might even make it to Guinness World Records.

CM Punk left WWE after the Royal Rumble in 2014 after being frustrated with the company, leading him to walk out on it. Punk had made it clear that he never wanted to go back to pro wrestling but ultimately changed his mind.

For many years fans wondered if he will ever go back to WWE, but it seems CM Punk had absolutely no intention of ever doing so as it was never on the table.

While speaking with Tony Maglio of The Wrap, CM Punk talked about getting back into pro wrestling. Punk revealed that he saw clips of AEW on Twitter and got an idea about the product, which ultimately helped him make his decision.

“I would watch, not every show, but I would watch when I could. I would definitely, at first, just watch people that I knew or heard about. I think Twitter helps a lot because you can read and get a sense of what is good and what is not.”

CM Punk recently defeated Daniel Garcia on AEW Rampage in a terrific match. We will have to wait and see what is next in store for CM Punk in AEW.
