During an interview after his name was called in the draft, Ricochet opened up about his move to SmackDown. While not dressed for competition, Ricochet explained that RAW has always been his home, but SmackDown is the land of opportunity.

He said that SmackDown might be where he needs to be, because the last couple of months on RAW has “been a slump” for him. “Raw, I’ve got to say goodbye, it’s been cool, but SmackDown get ready. It’s about to be a blast,” Ricochet said confidently.
