Pete Dunne is involved in the fatal four-way match for the NXT Title tonight in the debut episode of NXT 2.0, and he has a much better shot at winning that title now. Dunne’s contract was matter of question, seemingly in the same situation that Adam Cole’s was in, but he was offered new deal over SummerSlam weekend. It appears that he took the company’s offer.

According toFightful, Pete Dunne inked a new deal with WWE. Dunne will stick around for NXT 2.0 for the next three years. This deal was also “personally offered” by Triple H.

WWE sources confirmed to Fightful Tuesday afternoon that Dunne agreed to a new three year deal which was actually said to have been personally offered by Triple H before he was sidelined recently. Dunne, along with Adam Cole, had a surprise contract expiration in July.

This is an interesting situation, because there are a ton of unanswered questions in regards to the new version of NXT. Kevin Dunn will be there to “personally oversee” the production, and there are rumors that Samoa Joe’s injury was work so the brand can crown a new champion tonight instead of a #1 contender.
