Mick Foley Criticizes WWE NXT For Losing Wrestlers’ Identities

There are quite a lot of problems with WWE’s current product that have left fans disgruntled and frustrated over the years. This includes feuds that don’t go anywhere, teams splitting up for no reason and storylines not making sense. The disinterest of the fans is reflected in the decline in ratings of Monday Night RAW over the past few years.

There are also other issues with the company, namely the way NXT Superstars are treated once they are called up to the main roster. Karrion Kross’ recent booking is one of many examples.

WWE Hall Of Famer Mick Foley previously discussed WWE has problem with AEW in a video that went viral as many fans agreed with everything that he said. He even criticized the company’s lack of continuity. It seems Foley isn’t done criticizing the product just yet.

While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Mick Foley said that he occasionally watches the WWE product and doesn’t remember many names when he does. He proceeded to criticize WWE’s developmental system for making talents lose their individuality.

“I think one of the things you risk when you have a developmental system, and a way of doing things specific to your business model, is that you lose a little bit of the individuality, so you tend to have a lot of people who can do great moves, have very good matches, whose names you can’t remember after they’ve wrested unless you’re tuning in every week.

That was part of the problem with me. I was watching sporadically, and I was like, “Wow, look at that guy. Good shape, looks great, handsome guy, wearing trunks, great moves, can’t remember his name. A lot of guys tend to fall into the same pattern of looking and wrestling the same.”

Mick Foley even got lot of heat on him because of what he said but at the end of the day, Foley simply wants WWE to improve their product so that it can be a great prospect for new and younger talents.
