Adam Cole was touted as one of the best talents in NXT after debuting back in 2017. He competed in some of the brand’s best matches and his importance to NXT cannot be undermined.

Adam Cole is also officially done with NXT for good after NXT TakeOver 36, where he lost to Kyle O’Reilly, finally ending their feud. Adam Cole’s WWE contract also expired recently, making him free agent.

Adam Cole also doesn’t have non-compete clause because he didn’t sign a new contract with WWE. Cole is free to go wherever he wants to.

While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T talked about Adam Cole going to AEW and stated that Adam Cole making his way there will be a no-brainer, especially because Cole’s girlfriend Britt Baker is in AEW.

“With Adam Cole, I know the guy’s talent. I know, like I said, as far as having the guy on my team, Adam Cole is going to be one of those guys that I really want to keep on my team. There again, will he be a huge assest somewhere else? Of course. Will he be happy working alongside his [girlfriend]? Come on, that’s a no-brainer to be able to go home together at the same time when you get off work, to be able to spend time together rather than have two totally different schedules in one company and the other, that right there can be taxing in itself. So that’s a lot of things Adam Cole has got to think about as far as his future goes but I’m sure he will make the right decision.”

Booker T recently stated that AEW needs someone like Adam Cole. It remains to be seen what Adam Cole what is next in store for the former Undisputed Era member.
