MJF is one of the best heels in the pro wrestling world right now and his character has only continued to develop during his time in AEW. He quickly cemented himself as top star and has been a mainstay of AEW television since the debut of AEW Dynamite back in 2019. The Salt of the Earth is dedicated to his character as he never breaks kayfabe, inside or outside the squared circle. He’s known to give children the middle finger.

His dedication to his credit has won him over with fans who simply love to hate him. MJF has truly elevated himself thanks to his rivalry with Chris Jericho.

While speaking on his podcast, Jim Cornette Experience, Jim Cornette talked about MJF’s in-ring skills and promo ability and gave massive props to him for that. However, he then criticized the way AEW booked him, as he claimed that the company has mismanaged him from the start.

“You don’t get somebody over by just beating a star once when you haven’t wrestled on TV in the last four months in a straight match. They have mismanaged MJF from the start. He had his persona from the beginning, you couldn’t see through it. He wouldn’t go and break the gimmick. He was a heel, that’s what everybody liked about him. Plus, his promos were fresh, he was verbally fantastic. And he can work in the ring, it’s just that he doesn’t do flipping sh*t, which is great as everybody else does, and you don’t have to do that, to begin with. However, he would get promos, but he would never beat anyone. They have let this guy talk, but they have never shown him being responsible and competent in the ring,

MJF will be squaring off against Chris Jericho at AEW All Out, where if Jericho loses, he will retire from the squared circle for good. It remains to be seen if MJF will beat Jericho once again and end his career or not.
