Buddy Matthews (Murphy) Celebrates First Day As Free Agent

WWE released Murphy from his contract in another mass release spree. Those 90-day non-compete clauses are running up. We’ve already seen videos from the likes of Murphy and Ruby Riott, now Buddy Matthews and Ruby Soho respectively. Free agency day finally came around for the former Raw Tag Team Champion.

Matthews tweeted out a photo of chains being broken, he is now free and very happy. This was accompanied by a caption that said everything in two words.

He later deleted that tweet, and it’s unclear why. Perhaps some took offense to the depiction of chains being broken. He later dropped another tweet of a caged bird flying free with “#FreeAgent” as the caption.

That free agency might not last long for Buddy Matthews. Scott D’Amore already dropped huge clue that the former disciple of Seth Rollins is on his way to Impact Wrestling. It was also reported that he is expected to ink deal with them, and now he can.

We’ll have to see what’s next, but the former Murphy can show up on AEW Dynamite, Impact Wrestling, MLW, or anywhere he would like to at this point.
