Buddy Murphy was one of the mainstays of 205 Live, where he put on excellent matches on weekly basis. Murphy would eventually move to the main roster where he floundered after a while. He was eventually released back in June. Now it seems he’s already signed with a pro wrestling company.

After his WWE release, Buddy Murphy worked very hard to get into the best shape of his life. He also hinted at going to Impact Wrestling and from the looks of it, he will be calling that his new home.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Buddy Murphy has signed a contract with Impact Wrestling. It was also said that due to Murphy heavily pushing for indie dates, it is unlikely he’ll be going to AEW.

It appears that Buddy Murphy will be here, with Murphy as Buddy Matthews (his real name is Matthew Adams). Murphy seemed more suited for AEW in the sense he’s a great worker, people don’t even realize how good, in a place built around that. The fact Murphy is heavily pushing looking for indie dates would indicate he’s not going to AEW. But AEW is also loaded and Murphy could be pushed higher here as far as being one of their focal stars.

Buddy Murphy is an incredibly talented in-ring performer and he will definitely be a great asset to Impact Wrestling. We will have to wait and see when Buddy Murphy will debut in the company.

It was also reported that Braun Strowman is on his way to Impact Wrestling. That company could pick up some big momentum on their roster with those two additions.
