Jon Moxley loves to fight and has competed against the best of the best the pro wrestling world has to offer. For a long time many fans believed that Jon Moxley will be facing off against Hiroshi Tanahashi. This was huge dream match for many.

Lance Archer lost the IWGP United States Title to Hiroshi Tanahashi at NJPW Resurgence and this made it even more evident that Moxley will face Tanahashi.

However, the match was no longer made official for AEW All Out. This was due to changes from NJPW’s side.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, Jon Moxley vs Hiroshi Tanahashi is still in the works. It was unlikely for Tanahashi to face Moxley on such short notice as he is set to defend the IWGP United States Championship against Kota Ibushi at Wrestle Grand Slam on September 4.

Satoshi Kojima was chosen as a replacement for Tanahashi at AEW All Out. We will have to wait and see when Moxley and Tanahashi will finally lock horns as it remains a dream match for many.
