CM Punk made his big debut for AEW, but the forbidden door is wide open. He could eventually venture to another company that AEW is working with, and that could open up even more possibilities for the Second City Savior’s return to pro wrestling.

CM Punk had a lot to say in his post-Rampage media scrum. He not only revealed what Sting told him backstage, but he also opened up about future possibilities within AEW. He wants to do more than just wrestle and Tony Khan is game to let Punk be involved in many aspects.

The question about Punk joining the G1 Climax tournament was breached. NJPW’s huge tournament has not seen CM Punk’s name added to it yet, but he did not reject the idea. In fact, he seemed down to do it if Tony Khan wants him to.

Punk said that if Tony Khan asks him to participate in the G1 tournament then he will do it. We’ll have to see if TK makes that request of his new top signee. This is obviously an exciting time for pro wrestling fans, because AEW is associated with Impact Wrestling, NJPW, and the NWA. That could open even more doors for Punk as time passes.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News.
