Tessa Blanchard is not on television right now, but she is staying prepared. She is also training others in the art of pro wrestling, including Bayley’s biggest fan Izzy. Despite any preconceived notions about Blanchard, she still puts in the work, and that isn’t something that wasn’t automatically included in her last name.
One fan tweeted out to give Tessa Blanchard kudos for earning her own spot in pro wrestling and not riding her family’s coattails. They said, “I give her credit for not just riding on the coattails of her famous name and father. She’s earning her place. Rock on.”
This positive tweet received a response from the third-generation pro wrestler. Tess Blanchard made it clear that she is proud of her last name, but that doesn’t drive the miles or do the work.
Last name doesn’t take the bumps. Last name doesn’t drive the miles.
Last name doesn’t wake up at 5am. Last name doesn’t show up for the workouts.
Last name doesn’t stick to the diet.
I’M PROUD TO BE A BLANCHARD
Tessa Blanchard is one of the most talented free agents in pro wrestling, but she has not landed in any pro wrestling company since her release from Impact Wrestling. Allegations about racist language and bullying, which Blanchard denied, surfaced all over the internet wrestling community just prior to her Impact Wrestling World Title victory. Those stories of her past behavior behind the scenes have reportedly caused some trepidation about bringing her in.
Blanchard will keep doing her thing as she presses on in the pro wrestling world. It is in her blood, and it looks like she will continue doing the work, no matter where she is.
