A report came out last week saying that Tessa Blanchard and her husband Daga were close to signing with AEW. That is not the case at all, and there is a reason for that.

It was noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that anything can change in pro wrestling, but right now Tessa and Daga are “not close to signing” with AEW. The situation boils down to the numerous allegations against Blanchard regarding her backstage behavior and bullying ways. That greatly damaged her reputation and the decision was made not to bring her in.

She could be one of the top stars in the company and of great value to the division, but her past has made it to where up to this point the decision has been made not to try and bring her in.

You can never say never in pro wrestling, but AEW has a couple women on their roster like Allie who spoke out against Tessa Blanchard’s bullying. A report came out last month that Daga was talking to somewhere, but AAA expects to have him back by late summer. Tessa Blanchard is still apparently sitting at home without any interest from AEW or WWE at this time.
