WWE is running SummerSlam on August 21st. That Saturday show is not typical for WWE’s biggest party of the summer at all. Their pay-per-views are generally on Sundays. There is a reason they made this change, and now that date is locked. The location is different story.

The company is arranging some important schedules around August 31st. Cardi B and John Cena are just two of the names that are heavily rumored for the event. Cardi B is set to reportedly host the event. John Cena will reportedly face Roman Reigns for the Universal Title.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that WWE made this Saturday show at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium’s request. Then something might have happened between the two sides.

The show was set for Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas and the date was moved from Sunday to Saturday to accommodate the stadium. But things happened after and the stadium looked off, and then maybe not.

The company will run an NFL football stadium for SummerSlam. Those locations include: Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., NRG Stadium in Houston, Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, MetLife Stadium in N.Y. and Nissan Stadium in Nashville.

They still have several venues in the running, Allegiant Stadium being one of them. Fans will find out SummerSlam’s official location during the 2021 Belmont Stakes’ pre-race show on NBC this Saturday, June 5.

It is also notable that the SmackDown prior to SummerSlam is in Phoenix. They have a house show in Denver on Sunday, August 22nd. Also, the RAW after SummerSlam is slated to take place in San Diego. We’ll have to see if SummerSlam’s location will accommodate those other dates.
