Ruby Riott was a part of the Riott Squad, but then Sarah Logan was released last year following the company splitting up the faction. Riott and Liv Morgan reunited, but now Morgan is on her own once again.

WWE made some shocking releases within the company today. Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, and Lana were all let go. According to Fightful, Ruby Riott’s name was also on that list.

Riott and Morgan tried hard to pick up steam and get a chance to capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles, but it wasn’t in the cards for them. Now Riott is a free agent and free to go elsewhere after her 90-day non-compete clause is over.

Prior to joining WWE, Ruby Riott was known as Heidi Lovelace. That is a great name that she might want to lock down, because she could be using it again. WWE owns the name Ruby Riott, after all.

Lovelace has a ton to offer any women’s division. Since AEW is still building their women’s roster we can’t imagine that she will go unnoticed in the free agent pool. Only time will tell what happens, because AEW can’t sign everyone.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
