Chelsea Green was released from WWE last week, and it was pretty big shock for her. Now she is carrying on and locking down her name, one that WWE was trying to get or their own usage.

According to Heel By Nature, Green filed a trademark on her own name on April 15th, the day of her WWE release. This filing also included the term “Hot Mess.” She trademarked this under merchandise and entertainment services.

WWE also has their own filing for Chelsea Green’s name, but they have an issue. Their filing will require written consent. Since they fired her last week and Green is filing for her own trademark, it’s doubtful she will comply.

Vince McMahon’s company filed an application to trademark her name on September 24th of last year. The filing has not been registered and it will be abandoned on August 16th if they do not get that written consent from Chelsea Green.
