The Hurt Business was split up weeks before WrestleMania. This was a decision that didn’t have a lot of fans in the WWE Universe or the locker room. Vince McMahon did it anyway.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter mentioned reports that MVP and Bobby Lashley tried to talk McMahon out of breaking up their faction. He still dug his heels in harder and did it anyway. It was noted that this was one of the decisions that McMahon made due to him not wanting to push certain guys. It was as simple as that and the stable was disbanded.

The breakup of The Hurt Business was a decision made by Vince McMahon. Lashley and others tried to talk him out of it but this was one he wasn’t budging on. Vince just gets the idea that he doesn’t want to push certain guys and once he does, that’s it. It’s a regular thing and that’s not likely to change

We’ll have to see what’s next for Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander. They are obviously not thrilled about the Hurt Business breakup. Now Bobby Lashley will have to battle Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 37 without a stable by his side.
