Main Event Confirmed For WWE NXT New Year’s Smash

WWE NXT’s next special episode of their USA Network show will take place on January 6th. New Year’s Evil now has a main event match.

Pete Dunne and Kyle O’Reilly battled during NXT this week for a #1 contender spot. In the end, O’Reilly pulled down the win. He will now face NXT Champion Finn Balor at the January 6th event.

As of this writing, that is the only match announced for the show. AEW will also be running their second night of the New Year’s Smash Event.
