Jim Ross is back in the hospital, and this is way more serious than a quick trip to get checked out.

The WWE Hall of Famer and AEW commentator revealed that he has now been hospitalized for 22 days in Norman, Oklahoma, after another rough health setback. Ross has already been dealing with falls, travel nightmares, and major medical concerns, but his latest message made one thing clear: he is still fighting. Ross posted the update on X while watching the College World Series and thanked fans for their support.

“Day 22 in the hospital in Norman. Watching @CWSOmaha with my @soonerbaseball. Thanks for everyone’s kind thoughts and prayers. Don’t count me out just yet. I’m still fighting!”

Ross previously opened up on Grilling JR about a brutal Double or Nothing weekend where everything went wrong before he even made it to the show. Ross said he was supposed to catch an early flight, but he fell at home before his driver picked him up. He had not fallen in weeks, but this one was bad enough to make him miss his flight.

“So I had the alarm set, the driver’s going to pick me up, and all of a sudden I fell. I hadn’t had a fall in weeks, so I fell and busted my ass. If I had my phone with me, I could’ve gotten help. So as a result of that, I missed my flight.”

Ross eventually got rebooked and made it to New York City, but the trip only got worse from there. After arriving at his hotel, his back went out, leaving him in pain and struggling through the weekend.

“Then I got to my room on Saturday night, and as you can see, I’m still leery. So I laid on the bed and put my ass on the edge of the bed and just relaxed. But little did I know my back was going to go out on me. So now I’m in the hotel with my back out, and I can’t function. So it was just a horrible experience. And I flew back home on Monday night—but boy, I suffered for a while.”

The exact nature of his injuries is not known right now. This all comes while Ross has been dealing with bigger medical concerns. He previously said doctors were running tests and monitoring him for possible dementia or Alzheimer’s, though he also said he felt good overall at the time.

“They’re worried about dementia or Alzheimer’s, and I’m like, ‘What the hell are you gonna do about it? There’s not a cure.’ If there’s any medicine I should be taking preventatively, tell me what they are and I’ll do it. But you know, we’ll see how it works out. I’m going through a lot of tests. I don’t feel bad at all—I feel great, actually. But you know, getting old is a b**.”*

Ross has powered through a lot in his life and career, but 22 days in the hospital is no small thing. Fans have watched him battle through health issues before, and now they are once again hoping Good Ol’ JR can get back home and recover without any more setbacks.

Jim Ross made it clear he is not done fighting, and that is exactly what fans wanted to hear. Still, this latest hospital stay is a serious reminder of just how much he has been dealing with behind the scenes.
