Braun Strowman was set to face Drew McIntyre for the WWE Title at TLC. That match didn’t happen as planned. It’s unclear how bad Strowman is hurt, but it’s apparently not too terrible.

During Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez noted that Braun Strowman is not scheduled for surgery right now. He is rehabbing his injury, and there is obviously hope that he’ll return soon. He was written off RAW with an “indefinite suspension” in the meantime.

“The story, as noted, is that Braun was scheduled to face Drew McIntyre at TLC but he got the leg injury and he is rehabbing it. I didn’t hear anything about surgery, just that they are rehabbing it. Presumably, he won’t be out that long but I guess we’ll see.”

That suspension storyline could turn into The Monster Among Men invading RAW when he’s not supposed to be there. It all depends on how quickly he can get cleared to make a return to the ring.

As of this writing, there is no return timetable, but the fact that he is avoiding surgery is certainly a good sign. We previously reported how WWE had to shift the entire top level of the RAW roster in his absence.
